StableBet is built on one rule: if you can see a number, you can see where it came from. This page explains our data sources, how we show freshness and uncertainty, the rules our AI follows, and exactly what is built so far.
Data sources
StableBet uses publicly available racing information. During testing, that means Canadian thoroughbred race cards, entries, scratches and results, starting with Woodbine in Toronto, a completed-race archive from Saratoga, and openly licensed historical datasets for research.
- Every capture is recorded with its source address, the time we retrieved it and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the original file.
- Raw files are kept unchanged, so any figure can be checked against what the source actually said.
- Requests are limited and spaced out. If a source refuses access, StableBet stops asking rather than working around it.
- Photographs of real horses are used only with an open licence and a visible credit. Illustrations are labelled as illustrations.
StableBet is not affiliated with Woodbine Entertainment or any racetrack, racing authority or data provider.
How freshness is shown
Race-day information changes by the minute. A price captured before a scratch is not the same price after it. StableBet puts one of three labels on every block of data, always with a timestamp.
Each state has its own icon, pattern and wording. Colour is never the only signal. Screen readers announce changes in freshness without interrupting you.
How uncertainty is shown
StableBet never shows a single chance of winning on its own. Every estimate is a range with a confidence level, because the amount of evidence behind each horse is different.
- The band shows the 80 percent range. The line inside it is the middle estimate.
- The confidence meter has four steps, from very low to high, and always comes with words.
- A short reason explains why, for example "only two qualifying starts".
- The market appears beside the model so you can compare, without us telling you what to do about a difference.
The rules our AI follows
- Facts come from sources, not from the model's memory. The assistant chooses which saved sources matter, and the text you read is copied from those sources word for word.
- Maths is done by tested code. The language model explains numbers. It does not calculate or invent them.
- Uncertainty is always stated. If the evidence is thin, the assistant says so first.
- No tips, no pressure. The assistant explains and compares. It never tells you to bet, and it never says a horse "will" win.
- If it cannot source it, it says so. "We do not have data on that" is an acceptable answer.
Build status
StableBet is in testing. Here is what exists today and what is still being built. We update this table as the product changes.

What we will never claim
- That StableBet picks winners or guarantees profit.
- That a past result proves a future one.
- That paper results equal real-money results. Real betting has timing, price and access limits that paper bets do not.
- That any number is more certain than its evidence allows.
You will not see countdown timers, "hot tip" banners, win streak boasts or pressure to act on StableBet. If our marketing ever reads like a sportsbook, tell us.
Privacy by design
The StableBet workspace runs on your own computer. Your stable, notes and paper-bet history are stored there, not on our servers. This website stores your email address only if you join early access. Read the privacy notice.
